O ritmo cada vez mais lento das importações de carne pela China, graças às medidas rígidas impostas pelo país no combate ao coronavírus, vai fornecer ainda mais suporte aos preços das proteínas, já impulsionados pela severa escassez local de carne suína, disseram analistas.

As compras de carne de porco e outras proteínas dispararam neste ano, depois de a produção doméstica despencar 30% em função de um surto de peste suína africana, que devastou a criação de suínos da China desde o ano passado. Mas recentes medidas anticontaminação pelo coronavírus ameaçam reduzir as importações.
Pequim suspendeu importações provenientes de mais de 20 unidades de processamento de carnes suína, bovina e de aves desde meados de junho, após funcionários dessas fábricas serem infectados pela Covid-19.
Agora, estão presos nos portos chineses produtos enviados por alguns frigoríficos antes das suspensões, segundo Grace Gao, gerente da Goldrich International no porto de Dalian, que possui dois contêineres “travados”.
“Você não pode receber a entrega, mesmo se tiver um resultado negativo para o teste (de coronavírus)”, disse ela.
Embora centenas de outras fábricas mantenham suas aprovações para exportar para a China, os testes para o vírus estão atrasando a liberação dos contêineres nos portos do país asiático.
Neste momento, as importações estão cerca de 15% mais caras do que no início de junho, de acordo com Shi Lei, diretor da importadora de carnes Beijing Hopewise International Trading.
“Os carregamentos de carne bovina em junho caíram em torno de 30% a 40%”, afirmou.
O número menor de importações acompanha uma disparada nos preços domésticos de carnes desde meados de maio. As cotações atingiram o nível de cerca de 38 iuanes (5,44 dólares) por quilo de suínos vivos, aproximando-se do recorde verificado em outubro do ano passado.
Analistas culpam a oferta reduzida pela forte alta nos preços, em momento em que o consumo começa a se recuperar.
