Porto de Santos exporta 79% do café brasileiro

Um total de 13,4 milhões de toneladas de mercadorias foram movimentadas no mês passado no Porto de Santos. O volume, que apresenta uma variação positiva de 0,05%, é praticamente igual ao verificado no mesmo mês de 2019. Porém, houve queda nas operações com contêineres. Já entre janeiro e julho, o cais santista soma 84,1 milhões de toneladas, alta de 10,2% em relação ao mesmo período do ano anterior.
Os dados foram apresentados pela Autoridade Portuária de Santos (APS), estatal que administra o complexo marítimo. Segundo a empresa, mesmo durante a pandemia, julho representa a maior movimentação mensal da história e o sexto resultado mensal recorde consecutivo neste ano. Isto porque fevereiro, março, abril, maio e junho também registraram recordes.
A marca decorre da força do agronegócio e do câmbio favorável às exportações.
