RECOM

The commodities importation on an industrialization purpose of products classified under heading 8701 to 8705 of the Common Nomenclature of the Mercosur special customs regime (RECOM) is the one that allows the chassis, bodywork, parts, components and accessories importation without the exchange coverage, with the industrialized products taxes payment suspension.

The treatment will be applied exclusively to imports carried out on behalf of and order of a legal entity domiciled abroad.

In RECOM, the import will be made only with the commodities’ applied taxes payment, and with IPI suspension, which will be granted for the non-extendable one year period, counting from the customs clearance, in the course of which the industrialization and the destination of the resulting products must be done.

The executing establishments shall be subject to the suspended IPI payment if they use the received products with suspension on a diverse purpose from the one provided on the customs procedure.
