RADAR’S LICENSE

Just as the national driver’s license in compulsory to drivers, the RADAR’s License is compulsory to companies which wish to import or export in a commercial purpose, and as private individuals to their own use or to the professional activities, including on the rural producer, crafter or artist condition.

Regulated by the RFB No 1603 Ruling Normative from 2015, December 15th, the Radar’s request is an administrative process, done through a bunch of documents.

Private Individuals and legal entities can be enabled, on these following modalities:

1- Express: in case of a legal entity which wants to carry out no value limits on exportation, and the value sum of importations in a 6 months period, be less or equal to USD 50 000,00;
2- Limited: in case of a legal entity whom financial capacity bear to carry out importation whom value sum, in a 6 months period, is higher than USD 50 000,00 and equal or less than USD 150 000,00;
3- Unlimited: in case of legal entity with a financial capacity that allows to make import operations whose the value sum is higher than USD 150 000,00.

The qualified Private Individual can only carry out:

• Foreign Trade operations for the performance of their professional activities, moreover on the rural producer, crafter, artist or similar conditions;
• Importations for its own use and consumption;
• Importations for its personal collections;
• 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, based on 4th and 5th arts, from the 2013, No 12.780 Law.
