julho 31, 2021O Ministério da Agricultura suspendeu, nesta segunda-feira (14), a importação de carne de porco in natura ou pouco processada da Alemanha, após a confirmação de um caso de peste suína africana em um javali morto.
No comunicado ao país europeu, o governo brasileiro solicita informações detalhadas às autoridades sanitárias sobre as medidas de biossegurança adotadas pelas plantas industriais alemãs. O ministério não informou por quanto tempo valerá a suspensão. A Alemanha é o maior produtor de proteína animal da Europa.
A contaminação foi confirmada na última quinta-feira (10) pelo governo alemão, que encontrou a peste suína africana em um javali morto nas proximidades da fronteira com a Polônia. Uma área de 15 quilômetros quadrados, onde o animal foi encontrado, foi colocada em quarentena.
Além do Brasil, outros países como China e Coreia do Sul também suspenderam temporariamente a importação de carne suína da Alemanha.
Dados do governo federal indicam que o Brasil importou 1,8 mil toneladas da proteína suína alemã, de janeiro a agosto deste ano. De acordo com a Associação Brasileira de Proteína Animal (ABPA), os principais produtos adquiridos do país europeu são tripas de porco in natura e congeladas.
