A Ilha Con Dao e o Parque Nacional são uma área de grande beleza natural a 1.400 km da capital Hanói, na costa sul do Vietnã. O popular destino turístico, com um arquipélago de 16 ilhas, atualmente é servido apenas por aviões turboélice devido à pista curta, pavimento leve e falta de abastecimento de combustível.
Os jatos E195 se juntam à frota da Bamboo Airways em um contrato de arrendamento com a Great Dane Airlines, com sede na Dinamarca, aumentando o número crescente de operadores de E-Jets na região da Ásia-Pacífico.

A Bamboo Airways é a primeira a operar voos diretos para Con Dao a partir de três cidades: a capital Hanói, a cidade de Hai Phong ao norte e a cidade de Vinh na área central. Na fase inicial de operação, haverá dois voos diários na rota Hanói – Con Dao e voos diários de Hai Phong e Vinh para Con Dao. A Bamboo Airways está operando a aeronave em uma confortável configuração de classe única com 118 assentos.
A Embraer é líder mundial na fabricação de jatos comerciais de até 150 assentos, com mais de 100 clientes em todo o mundo. Somente para o programa de E-Jets, a Embraer registrou mais de 1.900 pedidos e 1.600 aeronaves foram entregues. Atualmente, os E-Jets voam nas frotas de mais de 80 clientes em cerca de 50 países.
